The Political Cartel is “an ideological roundtable” because we want to promote diversity of opinion. We hope this can be an avenue of shared wisdom and knowledge, where everyone benefits from each other as we engage in friendly debate. We invite you to disagree, to voice your opinion, and to challenge others to think. What makes this blog great is not the genius of the authors, but the contributions and the debate brought forward by the readers.

Steve Denney, David Manes, and Chris McNeal founded Political Cartel as a Blogger blog in March, 2007. The blog moved to WordPress in March, 2008, and was visited over 100,000 times in the next year. In 2008, Heather McIntosh and Becca Burley also joined Political Cartel as contributors.

We are young politically-minded intellectuals who enjoy healthy debate and discussion on a variety of issues including politics, society, and philosophy. Each of us brings a different perspective on the issues as well as different abilities in the ways that we can communicate them.  We come from all over the country: California Nebraska, Arkansas, Missouri, and Pennsylvania.  We came together while studying at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.

Welcome to the Political Cartel, an ideological roundtable!
